The refinery has a number of licenses for geological survey, exploration, and production of petroleum materials at oil and gas matured fields on the territory of the Russian Federation and its continental shelf that have been granted by the state authorities.

Through assessing and purchasing new licensed sites, seismic exploration, exploration and production drilling using cutting-edge technologies, and other methods, the refinery’s primary goal is to increase our hydrocarbon deposits and exploration activities. Since 2015, the refinery has produced between 250 and 350 thousand meters of drilling, which has allowed it to drill up to 48 new wells per year. On both newly planted fields and aged ones, drilling is done.
